SGA IN-HOUSE TOURNAMENT - 8TH EDITION!

Our 8th in-house tournament is due to be held on Sunday 15th March 2026 and it is free to enter!

- This tournament is the closest possible event to a big formal competition like you would find in the UK. We use the same setup, format and match rules, and is your chance to do a real-life competition with your team mates!

- We want the experience to be enjoyable, and ensure it is held in a supportive and encouraging environment.

- Competitors will be matched according to size, age and skill set. Your coaches will ensure you have the best match up possible.

- With coaches on hand in competitors' corners, each competitor will receive on hand coaching throughout their matches!

- Formal mat areas, refereeing and scoring systems are in place, as you would find at any competition. Referees are trained in match scoring. 

- Medals will be presented to those who make the podium in their bracket.

- Seating is provided for specatators.

- The start time is 10:30am on Sunday 15 March 2026. The estimated finish time is before 1pm.

- Competitors should be present 15 minutes before the tournament start time, in their gi.

- On arrival, competitors should make their way to the Bullpen (a taped off area where competitors to gather before their fight) to register their presence and be directed on where to wait.

- After their fight, competitors may stay to watch their teammates compete!

This is a friendly and casual tournament where you can showcase everything you have worked hard to learn in classes. It is an opportunity to test yourself and gain valuable information about your jiu-jitsu to take away and build upon.
